Dale C. Andrews has authored
a prequel to The Book Case
which has been accepted by Ellery Queen
Mystery Magazine for publication. It's
entitled "The Mad Hatter's Riddle." It is set in 1975. Ellery is
called to Hollywood to serve as an advisor on the NBC Ellery Queen
series for the filming of "The Mad Tea Party" episode, which fans will
remember was the only episode in the series based on an authentic
Ellery Queen story.
Sometimes even I am still surprised by the sheer number of translations
one can unearth. Even more so if a Dutch translation pops up I hadn't
even heared about. So I am proud to announce the existence of 'The
Mystery of the High Hats'...

Well we (Dale and myself) got our
certificates from EQMM).
Dale was over the moon about his weekend in NY whilst attending the
Readers' Award Ceremony at the Williams Club and later that evening the
dinner at the Edgars and rightly so!

A highlight for anyone who attended I'm sure...
And, The Book
Case is also one of the nominees
for
the Barry Award for best short story,
which will be decided at the Boucheron World Mystery Convention in
Baltimore this autumn
Proving Ellery's alive and well and living in Italy, 3 covers from
The Murderer is a Fox, one of which dates from 2007...
JJmC was right after all!
No? Well, look for the 2008 edition of Cat of Many Tails...
